Earlier, the Government-owned Keltron was the technology partner for running the data center for the Kerala Government.

Chennai-based Sify Technologies will manage two data centers which handle several sensitive data of the state government.

Earlier, Sify Technologies was handling only one data center in Tejashwini Building in Technopark. As per the new order, Sify Technologies will add more data center, which was earlier managed by Keltron.

The state government rejected the bid from Keltron due to lack of adequate expertise in running data centers. Earlier, Center-government owned CDAC and Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Communications managed the data centers.
