Oracle has signed an agreement with Rai Way to install its systems for artificial intelligence applications at the Italian infrastructure firm’s data centres.
This partnership will enable Oracle’s corporate clients to access its database solutions, cloud options, and disaster recovery technologies at Rai Way’s data centres, some of which are located in remote areas.
These remotely located data centres are particularly advantageous for cybersecurity services, providing an additional layer of protection against cybercriminals attempting to locate data geographically.
Rai Way’s primary asset is the broadcasting infrastructure of Italian state television RAI. However, the company is also expanding its services by building a carrier-neutral network of data centres across Italy, connected through a proprietary fibre optic network spanning over 6,000 km.
