Matrimonial website Shaadi.com relies on Rackspace dedicated hosting for match making

Shaadi.com, a matrimonial website, is using Rackspace dedicated hosting and has benefitted from significant cost savings.

India based Shaadi.com manages over 200 million page views per month and over 10,000 registrations daily. Today, 30 million people use Shaadi.com, 3.2 million members have found their matches through the site and the company has built over 100 matchmaking centers across 87 cities in India.

Shaadi.com uses 30 servers to run searches and match users. The less number of servers has resulted in significant cost savings for the company.

Rackspace does not share the specific details on cost savings for the website.

Rackspace supports Shaadi.com

Anand Mittal, COO & director, Shaadi.com, said: “Any downtime of our website is detrimental to our business, as it impacts our brand image and damages customer loyalty. To be successful and gain the trust of our customers, we consistently need to deliver a seamless experience and make sure they are happy.”

Shaadi.com’s hosting association with Rackspace started some time ago. Beginning with one Rackspace server in 1998, Shaadi.com has grown exponentially since its initial deployment.

“When businesses in Asia are setting up a hybrid cloud, they look for a provider that can offer 24/7 support backed up by experts, rather than users simply being directed to a self-help web page,” said Ajit Melarkode, managing director, Rackspace Asia-Pacific.
