JDA selects Latisys Denver data center for Disaster Recovery capabilities

John Drake & Associates (JDA), a consulting service provider focused on customized managed services, has selected Latisys Denver data center for Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities.

Latisys, a provider of cloud hosting and data center solutions, said JDA will use its Denver data center as its DR site to support customized managed IT services currently being delivered via Latisys’ Chicago data center.

Latisys Denver serves as an ideal DR destination for large and mid-size enterprises in Denver as well as other Latisys markets nationally.

JDA, which uses Latisys’ Cloud-Enabled Systems Infrastructure (CESI) to deliver hybrid hosting for over four years, is adding the new DR services in response to increasing customer demand for IT resiliency and redundancy.

For a financial services firm in Chicago, JDA has built a customized and geographically dispersed Disaster Recovery solution that supports terabytes of data and a variety of IT platforms. This includes a mix of third party feeds and internally developed applications that enables them to better gauge markets and make investment recommendations for clients.

Latisys is enabling JDA to replicate this back office environment to Latisys’ Denver data center to resume business operations in the event of a service disruption.

Todd Miller, CTO, JDA, said: “Latisys’ data center facilities are proven in their ability to provide highly secure IT infrastructure services, centralized monitoring, and a strong network backbone that can be leveraged across the United States.”
