Impact Telecom selects Colo Atl to expand Cloud operations

Communication service provider Impact Telecom has selected Colo Atl and is utilizing its facility to expand its cloud operations.

Impact, which specializes in voice, messaging and data services, is taking advantage of Colo Atl facility to enhance its commercial product offerings for enterprise and SMBs.

Colo Atl’s facility includes more than 80 local, regional and global tenants with access to data center, collocation and interconnection services.

“The Colo Atl colocation facility is top-of-the-line and most surely meets our colocation needs as we look to further expand the cloud market,” said Chuck Griffin, chief operating officer of Impact Telecom.

With tenants like Georgia Technology Center, an organization that provides test bed and live production testing for network communications equipment, the Colo Atl facility offers opportunity for expansion. The space houses the Southern Network Access Point which offers next generation Internet Exchange (IX) solutions, including SDN peering, testing and implementation.

Recently, Mobetize announced an agreement with Impact Telecom to offer Mobetize platform to deliver international money transfer, mobile airtime top-up and bill payments to Impact Telecom’s extensive customer base in the United States and Canada.

Last year, Sago Networks chooses Colo Atl for superior system availability in SSAE 16 certified facility.

Impact acquired Matrix Telecom and AmericanTel in 2013 enabling expansion into a range of retail and commercial segments.
