Hosting.com expands managed cloud services for enterprises

Infotech Lead America: Hosting.com, a provider of managed cloud hosting and recovery services, has expanded its managed cloud services.

Improvements include feature enhancements to its Cloud Replication service and a new Cloud Ready Dedicated Server offering.

Also, the company announced it has cloud-enabled its Dallas data center.

“These enhancements to our services show Hosting.com’s commitment to delivering a reliable enterprise-class cloud experience. They demonstrate a persistent engineering focus to deliver the Always On™ platform our customers expect,” said Craig McLellan, Hosting.com’s Chief Technology Officer.

The new version of Cloud Replication enables customers to view the progress of recovery steps being taken during a test or failover via the Hosting.com Customer Portal.

Hosting.com has also added the ability for customers to retain historical failover results and support for multiple recovery plans.

“Hosting.com has continued to innovate with their VMware vCloud Powered Cloud Replication service. Their commitment to VMware vCloud and disaster recovery solutions, combined with their differentiated customer value, is evident with these feature enhancements,” said Joe Andrews, director, Cloud Product Marketing, VMware.

Hosting.com said the Cloud Ready Dedicated Server is a newly released option for customers needing a dedicated server platform.

Hosting.com’s Dallas, Texas data center is fully cloud-enabled, complementing the colocation and dedicated hosting services offered from that location.

Existing Hosting.com Dallas customers now have full access to on-demand cloud hosting and recovery services. In addition, enterprises located in the rapidly growing Southwest region who are seeking to deploy cloud-based applications can now choose Dallas as their primary application site or recovery site.
