H5 Data Centers acquire new data center in US

H5 Data Centers has acquired a wholesale data center in Ashburn, Virginia which can be expanded to more than 100,000 square foot.

H5 Ashburn is 70,000 square foot data center which will market the asset to international carriers, collocation, cloud services providers and enterprises as a powered shell or build-to-suite offering.

The data center features at least 8.5MVA of power capacity and is located in the Ashburn data center cluster.

Additionally, pre-leasing is underway and H5 will complete exterior and interior upgrades by the end of Q3 2015.

The data center will have 1500 plus cabinets across four computer rooms and feature customizable data center layout and infrastructure design.

H5 Data Centers currently owns data centers in Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, and Seattle and H5 Ashburn represent the company’s seventh data center in the United States.

“H5 is experiencing strong, sustained demand for our wholesale data center and colocation services across the United States,” said Josh Simms, chief executive officer at H5 Data Centers.

Last month, Handy Networks selected H5 data centers’ 300,000 square-foot Denver data center campus for collocation expansion.
