Web hosting services provider GoDaddy today announced server offerings, including dedicated and virtual private servers for Web designers and developers.
Some of the attractions of the new offerings include quick set up, the ability for real-time changes and on-demand technical support.
GoDaddy’s Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and Dedicated Servers are powered by CentOS, Fedora or Windows and use cPanel or Plesk control panels. Each product comes in self-managed, managed or fully managed offerings, allowing users to pre-determine the level of support needed.
The new plans support features such as automated OS patching, staging, cloning, root access, backups and disaster recovery, plus other needs vital to the success of these technical customers.
Following acquisition of Media Temple, a Web hosting company in October 2013, GoDaddy has also strengthened its technical team to support designers and developers.
“Web developers and designers often manage more than one website at a time for multiple clients, therefore their needs differ from our general Web hosting customers,” said GoDaddy Senior Vice President and General Manager of Web Hosting, Jeff King.
The new products and services will be available on GoDaddy Pro, a GoDaddy website for tech-savvy developers and designers. There is also a streamlined check-out process to provide quick entry and exit.
