Foxconn develops PUE enabled containerized data centers

In a bid to increase energy efficiency, Foxconn is creating a fourth-generation containerized data center with PUE (power usage effectiveness) rising to 1.25-1.30.

The energy efficiency would enhance with the integrated use of renewable energy like PV systems.

Power Usage Effectiveness gauges energy efficiency of a data center, estimated as a ratio of total amount of energy usage by a data center to energy used by the data center’s IT equipment alone.

The ideal PUE is 1.
