Equinix is strategically positioning itself at the heart of the global AI and digital infrastructure transformation.

Equinix sales Q1 2025

Equinix sales Q1 2025As demand for high-performance computing and AI-ready environments accelerates, Equinix has committed to becoming a foundational enabler of next-generation AI workloads through its expansive interconnection ecosystem, advanced data center capabilities, and strategic partnerships.

AI Infrastructure Leadership

Equinix is reinforcing its role as a leading provider of AI-optimized digital infrastructure. It will be the first global platform to offer NVIDIA’s latest DGX GB200 and DGX B300 systems — liquid- and air-cooled AI supercomputers — in its data centers across 45 global markets. This move positions Equinix as a key deployment partner for NVIDIA’s Instant AI Factory initiative, enabling enterprises to access advanced AI capabilities as a managed service.

Strategic Partnerships in AI Ecosystem

Block, a pioneer in open-source AI model development, has chosen Equinix for the North American deployment of NVIDIA DGX SuperPod systems, leveraging Equinix’s ecosystem to ensure secure, scalable AI development environments.

Groq, known for its breakthroughs in AI inference, is also scaling its infrastructure through Equinix to meet enterprise demands for ultra-fast and efficient AI workflows, capitalizing on the global reach and interconnectivity of Equinix’s platform.

Global Expansion to Support AI Growth

To accommodate rising AI and cloud service needs, Equinix is actively expanding its global footprint:

56 major data center projects underway across 33 metros in 24 countries, including 12 large-scale xScale projects designed to support hyperscalers and AI workloads.

Recent project launches in Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Manchester, Salalah, Santiago, and São Paulo, with new projects added in Frankfurt, Miami, Mumbai, and Washington, D.C.

Over 70 percent of retail expansion spend is focused on key metros with strong ecosystems and enterprise demand, such as Dallas, London, Paris, Singapore, and Washington, D.C.

Innovation and Leadership

Equinix recently appointed Harmeen Mehta as Chief Digital and Innovation Officer (CDIO), signaling a deeper investment in technology innovation and digital transformation. The company continues to enhance its interconnection services, such as the Equinix Fabric Cloud Router, supporting seamless multi-cloud and hybrid AI deployments.

Financial Confidence Backed by AI Demand

Equinix reported robust Q1 2025 revenue of $2.23 billion, driven by ongoing demand from hyperscalers and enterprise customers investing in AI infrastructure.

Equinix has generated sales of $1,001 million (up 7 percent) from Americas, $743 million (up 2 percent) from EMEA and $481 million (up 4 percent) from Asia Pacific in Q1 2025.

The company raised its full-year revenue forecast, reflecting confidence in continued growth and strong customer momentum across industries and geographies.

For the second quarter of 2025, the company expects revenues to range between $2.244 and $2.264 billion, an increase of 1 percent at the mid-point over the previous quarter. Equinix expects full-year revenue between $9.175 billion and $9.275 billion, compared to its previous forecast of $9.033 billion to $9.133 billion.

Equinix’s AI strategy is built on three pillars: expanding AI-ready infrastructure, fostering deep technology partnerships, and accelerating enterprise connectivity and scale. With a strong financial outlook, global presence, and commitment to innovation, Equinix is poised to play a pivotal role in powering the next generation of AI.
