Deutsche Telekom has bagged a €43 million order from Coca-Cola for outsourcing of data center services.
The order was won by Deutsche Telekom’s Greek subsidiary OTE from Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC). T-Systems Hungary will provide disaster recovery services.
The provision of data services encompasses all transactions and operations, including ordering, CRM, ERP and call center services. The deal covers 28 countries in the EMEA region, where Coca-Cola HBC is present, catering for the needs of more than 589 million consumers.
It covers more than 36,000 employees daily, working in 13 different time-zones from Galway, Ireland in the west, to Petropavlovsk, the easternmost point of Russia.
“This success shows our strong position in Europe in delivering ICT solutions for enterprises,” said Elias Drakopoulos, senior vice president, responsible for Europe Business Excellence at Deutsche Telekom.
Coca-Cola HBC can switch from the primary data center in Athens to the disaster recovery site in Budapest, offering enhanced risk mitigating possibilities.
This is largest outsourcing deal in the Greek market.
