CyrusOne opens Austin III data center facility

CyrusOne Austin III data centerCyrusOne on Tuesday announced the opening of its Austin III data center facility with nearly 120,000 colocation square feet, up to 18 megawatts of critical power capacity, and 25,000 square feet of Class A office space.

The first phase, which was recently completed, provides 55,000 square feet and up to 3 megawatts of power.

The Austin III data center is part of CyrusOne’s National Internet Exchange (IX) to enable interconnection to other CyrusOne data centers in Texas and beyond.

The CyrusOne National IX, coupled with the company’s dispersed locations and available 100 percent uptime, enables Fortune 1000 enterprises to implement multi-location data center platforms and meet regulatory or industry-specific requirements such as Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, and PCI.

CyrusOne operates 31 facilities across the United States, Europe, and Asia. CyrusOne serves nine of the Fortune 20 and more than 165 of the Fortune 1000 among its more than 925 customers.
