The virtual groundbreaking ceremony, presided over by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, during the Tech Growth Conclave 2025, highlights the State’s commitment to fostering digital innovation and high-tech growth. The new facility, located on a five-acre site in Badwai IT Park, is expected to generate around 200 jobs over its phased development and will bolster the regional digital ecosystem by supporting high-performance cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data processing applications.

This investment is part of CtrlS Datacenters’ strategy to strengthen its presence in key and emerging markets while aligning with Madhya Pradesh’s policy initiatives like the IT, ITeS & ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023 and the Global Capability Centers Policy 2025. These policies provide financial incentives, including up to a 25 percent capital expenditure subsidy, and are geared towards positioning the State as a hub for global technology centers, contributing to its vision of becoming a $2 trillion economy by 2047.

The Bhopal datacenter will feature infrastructure, including advanced cooling and security systems, and is designed to be AI-ready to meet future enterprise demands. It is expected to contribute significantly to the State and Central exchequers, generating an estimated Rs 15 crore annually in combined SGST and CGST revenues.

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Chairman and MD of CtrlS Datacenters, emphasized that the investment reflects the company’s commitment to supporting India’s digital transformation and the strategic importance of Madhya Pradesh as a growing technology and talent hub.

The Bhopal facility forms a crucial part of CtrlS Datacenters’ aggressive expansion plan, which already includes 250 MW of IT load capacity across major tier-1 cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Noida, and Kolkata, as well as tier-2 cities through Edge datacenters in Patna and Lucknow.

The company is also planning expansions into markets such as GIFT City (Ahmedabad), Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati, along with international forays into Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with Thailand identified as its first overseas destination.
