Infotech Lead America: Cox Business has formed partnership with ViaWest, a colocation services provider in North America, to deliver secure fiber network connectivity along with compliant colocation and cloud infrastructure solutions.
The services will be delivered initially in Las Vegas, Phoenix and Southern California markets.

By partnering with Cox Business, ViaWest is able to deliver a unique combination of solutions that meet the demands of an ever-changing technology landscape, says Nancy Philips, chief executive officer, ViaWest.
Earlier this year, Cox Business launched IP Centrex, a cloud-based, business-class phone system designed to fuel productivity and maintain financial controls in one reliable communications platform. Soon after, Cox Business also announced PayLeap, a cloud-based merchant and card processing service designed to integrate in-store, online and mobile payment processing into one managed service.
Earlier this year, ViaWest opened its 110,000 square foot data center in Las Vegas which earned the colocation industry’s first Tier IV design certification in North America. The company plans to open its 90,000 square foot enterprise-class, multi-tenant data center facility in Phoenix early in 2014 with Cox Enterprises as its anchor tenant.
