The flagship facility in Navi Mumbai signifies Colt DCS’ strategic expansion and dedication to bolstering support for the escalating needs of hyperscale cloud service providers and large enterprises within India’s rapidly growing data centre landscape.

India has witnessed an unprecedented surge in digital demand in recent years. According to prominent real estate consulting firms, the nation’s appetite for data centre capacity is expected to reach a staggering 1.4 GW by 2025, with Navi Mumbai contributing to a significant 50% of this capacity.

Colt DCS’ Navi Mumbai Data Centre offers customers remarkable flexibility and scalability due to its substantial land area spanning 15 acres, capable of accommodating an impressive 120MW of IT power capacity. The adaptable and scalable design equips Colt DCS to swiftly adapt to the evolving demands of emerging technologies and use-cases, including generative artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, machine learning, and other compute-intensive cloud applications that necessitate high power density solutions with efficient cooling.

Underpinning this flexibility is a robust infrastructure, featuring a highly resilient 220kV GIS substation onsite with LILO configuration. The data centre also boasts multi-layered security, integrating hardened physical parameters, access control, and 24×7 surveillance.

The facility has undergone a comprehensive TVRA assessment, earning the designation of a low-risk site. Leveraging over 25 years of experience supporting mission-critical workloads and award-winning Operations and Service Management capabilities, Colt DCS ensures operational excellence.

Furthermore, the project recently achieved a prestigious “Platinum” Rating from IGBC – Green Data Centre (India Green Building Council), reinforcing Colt DCS’ commitment to sustainability and innovation. The company sources 100% renewable green power from the utility company, aligning with global environmental responsibility initiatives and enabling customers to achieve their sustainability objectives.
