China Construction Bank deploys Juniper Networks security solutions in 3 data centers

China Construction Bank has deployed Juniper Networks security solutions at its three data centers.

Juniper Networks SRX5800 Services Gateways will support the bank’s plans to expand operations focusing on e-commerce, big data platforms and cloud services.

China Construction Bank, which has a network of nearly 15,000 branches and sub-branches in China, will utilize the SRX5800 to ensure near-linear scalability up to 300 Gigabits per second of firewall throughput that will enable CCB to reduce the number of firewalls deployed in its data centers, simplifying the network while reducing space and power requirements.

Juniper Networks today said its products account for approximately 70 percent of the firewalls deployed within the bank’s data centers.

Recently, CCB started deploying Juniper Networks SRX5800 Services Gateways to replace the previous generation of firewalls at its production data center and two disaster recovery sites.

“Going forward, we plan to migrate data center operations to a cloud computing architecture and we can already see how Juniper’s advanced physical and virtual firewall architecture will be of great benefit,” said Xi Mingliang, director, Security Operation and Maintenance, China Construction Bank, in a statement.
