Brocade simplifies SAN management and operation for EMC Business Partner Program members

Data center networking provider Brocade has enhanced storage solutions forEMC entry-level primary storage and data protection solutions for EMC Business Partner Program participants.

Like large enterprises supporting virtualization and private cloud initiatives, mid-range enterprises deploying EMC solutions are often required to maintain high application availability and responsive support level agreements.

Brocade’s new storage area networks (SANs) solutions will benefit midrange enterprises deploying virtualization and private cloud architectures running on the new EMC VNXe3200 unified, hybrid storage array and EMC Data Domain deduplication storage system that were recently introduced.

With the optimized Brocade  Fabric Vision technology and Brocade Network Advisor, the company enables customers to better leverage the Fibre Channel functionality designed into the new EMC VNXe and Data Domain solutions, so they can achieve the desired level of reliability, availability and performance levels of larger environments.

Brocade Fabric Vision technology simplifies the setup and ongoing operation of the EMC storage and data protection systems is. It includes Brocade’s advanced Monitoring and Alerting Policy Suite (MAPS) capability that enables IT staff to deploy 15 years of industry best-practice monitoring and alerting in a single click for EMC Connectrix Gen 5 Fibre Channel SAN switches, Brocade said.

The company also enhanced Brocade Network Advisor Professional with new features to support midsized environments, including dual-fabric redundant paths between servers and storage that deliver enterprise-class reliability and availability.

EMC recently announced 11 new VSPEX configurations powered by VNXe3200, VNX5200, and DD2200 to support application, private cloud and end user computer workloads.
