Cloud infrastructure vendor VMware today said its Q1 2014 revenue increased 14 percent to $1.36 billion, while net income rose 14 percent $199 million.
VMware said its operating income rose 51 percent to $241 million.
VMware revenue from license increased to $561 million in Q1 2014 from $488 million in Q1 2013, while professional service was flat at $98 million and software maintenance income rose to $701 million from $605 million.
Pat Gelsinger, chief executive officer, VMware, said: “As the industry shifts from client server computing to the mobile-cloud era, customers are choosing our solutions because we have the most complete vision and offering for navigating this evolving world.”
