Earlier this month, Kabel Deutschland, Germany’s cable network operator selected Kaltura OTT TV to power its new TV app, a cable based multi-screen TV service. Kaltura’s solution will enable Kabel Deutschland to offer their customers the innovative TV experience.

“Kaltura and IBM are providing us with a highly advanced platform, which assures we deliver the premium standard of service our customers expect,” said Whit Richardson, executive vice president of distribution and marketing, Turner Latin America.

IBM has been investing in hybrid cloud at a time when its overall business was shaking. IBMs revenue from continuing operations fell 6 percent last year from 2013, but cloud based revenue rose 60 percent year over year to $7 billion.
