Spending on cloud surges 19% to $63.3 bn

Spending on cloud infrastructure services by enterprises in Q1 2023 touched $63.3 billion (+19 percent), according to new data from Synergy Research Group.

Microsoft and Google experienced stronger year-on-year growth numbers than Amazon, resulting in both companies increasing their worldwide market share.

Oracle, Snowflake, MongoDB, Huawei and the three main Chinese telcos recorded the highest year-on-year growth rates.

The cloud market continues to grow in all regions of the world, with North America, APAC and EMEA regions growing by well over 20 percent year over year.
