ScienceLogic manages Kellogg’s hybrid cloud platform

ScienceLogic, a provider of IT management and monitoring solutions, has been selected by Kellogg Company to manage and monitor its hybrid IT environment.

Kellogg, which is establishing as a hybrid cloud provider, now acts as a broker of hosting services with workloads running in multiple cloud providers  and in traditional data centers while maintaining operational and financial control.

The company selected ScienceLogic’s Hybrid Cloud Monitoring Software in order to view and manage their entire infrastructure (on-premises in their datacenters and off-premises in AWS) from a single view and accelerate their off-premise AWS adoption.

Stover Mcllwain, senior director IT Infrastructure Engineering, said,  “With Sciencelogic, we are able to give Kellogg executives the IT visibility they need, while dramatically reducing overall support and capital costs by over $2 million over five years compared to our previous ITOM suite.”

With ScienceLogic, Kellogg was able to automatically discover and monitor the entire infrastructure onsite and offsite (in the public cloud) from a single pane of glass, and quickly determine where to deploy resources that is the most cost effective location, whether it be in AWS or onsite.

ScienceLogic’s built-in CloudMapper automatically discovers and maps the cross-technology and cross-cloud dependencies in an IT environment, enabling quick root cause detection, and ensuring business uptime.

The solution also provides multiple levels of data segmentation, by user profile, business unit profile, geography profile, technology profile, and many other profiles, allowing Kellogg to reduce noise and confusion by giving the IT staff their own custom dashboards and views, based off of the same set of data.
