Orange Digital Ventures has invested in InterCloud, a provider of fully managed software-defined cloud applications interconnection (SDCI) services.
The €22 million financing is led by Orange and supported by three new partners, namely Open CNP, UL Invest and Weber Invest, as well as its historical investors including CapHorn Invest, Ventech, Hi Inov, SNCF Digital Ventures, BPI France.
InterCloud provides end-to-end managed turnkey service, enabling companies to simplify their infrastructures, offering them greater visibility and control over their multi-cloud applications, the company claims.
The investment will strengthen Orange’s hold in Europe’s cloud interconnection market. By investing in InterCloud, Orange will support the company in its technological and commercial expansion.
The new investment will further strengthen InterCloud’s European market position as the leader in interconnection services in Europe, as well as accelerate the development of new services, according to company officials.
