Oracle has unveiled its Customer 2 Cloud Program in India, which helps customers embrace cloud for enhancing their businesses.
The program aims to address the financial and technical challenges that organizations face while migrating from the conventional software platforms to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.
The program allows customers to re-direct existing Oracle Applications investments toward Oracle Cloud solutions through flexible financial models, rapid start-up services and packaged cloud integrations, the company said.
The service also facilitates the migration to hybrid cloud services allowing customers to enjoy the benefits of both public and private cloud services.
The program will be open to all existing Oracle customers of HCM and CRM solutions from Oracle’s Siebel, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Oracle E-Business Suite product lines, Oracle said. With this customers also get an opportunity to experiment the latest innovation in Oracle HCM cloud and Oracle CX.
Customers also get the flexibility to extend their on-premise applications with high value cloud applications, instead for opting for wholesale replacements.
“Organizational leaders know that cloud applications play an important role in lowering the cost of IT ownership, accelerating the pace of innovation, and vastly improving their users’ experiences. But the journey to cloud often comes with financial and IT integration hurdles,” said Niraj Kaushik- vice president- Applications, Oracle India.
“The Customer 2 Cloud program will essentially remove these barriers by paving the way to cloud with a program of flexible financial models, rapid implementation services, and packaged integration services to help customers take advantage of its best-in-class cloud applications,” Kaushik added.
This is perhaps one of the best moves made by Oracle. It addresses the many issues most enterprises have with the cloud, especially flexibility and security. Businesses these days no longer need a stringent application but rather one that is agile as their business model, one they can easily change depending on the needs and environment of their enterprise. They need an application or platform that allows them to be mobile and enjoy greater control. I also have no doubt with the security Oracle provides, being an Oracle user myself. That in itself is a good guarantee for businesses as well.
