Oracle unveiled next generation of Cloud services and development tools at JavaOne 2016.
It offered developers a choice of programming languages, databases, compute types, operating systems and virtual machines, integrated development environments (IDEs) and tools.
At JavaOne 2016 in San Francisco, Oracle showcased major enhancements to the Java Platform and the introduction of MySQL, the world’s most popular Open Source database, to its Cloud Platform.
In addition, Oracle shared details on its new Cloud Platform services that are specifically designed to support developers.
The developer-focused initiatives announced include; developer roadshow from January 2017, new developer portal developer.oracle.com, an academy to provide computer science education , Oracle Cloud Marketplace and a Technology Network Summit, a virtual event series.
