Oracle expands Network Cloud Service partners

Oracle

Oracle announced the addition of new partners to Oracle Network Cloud Service.

Equinix has extended its relationship with the Oracle FastConnect program to include Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. A similar relationship with Megaport was announced in April to enable Cloud through the FastConnect program. Other recent partners include Verizon, BT and NTT.

FastConnect is a program that enables enterprise cloud connectivity through the points of presence for global members of Oracle PartnerNetwork.

With FastConnect, customers can create a high-throughput and low-latency connection that delivers the benefits of a hybrid cloud setup.

In addition, customers can address common concerns with security and performance issues associated with cloud technologies.

Oracle further announced that Trek Bicycle, manufacturer and distributor of bicycles and cycling products, is using Oracle Cloud Platform to simplify expansion of its global dealer network.

Trek bicycles are sold through a vast network of more than 10,000 independent bicycle dealers in 90 countries around the world.

Using Oracle’s PaaS and IaaS services, Trek has been able to extend and modernize its legacy ERP system that handles inventory, purchasing, claim management, warehousing, and distribution for the company, while quickly building and integrating new mobile-first cloud applications.

Equinix, member of Oracle PartnerNetwork,  announced the immediate availability of dedicated, private access to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure via the Equinix Cloud Exchange.

This direct access enables enterprise customers to migrate applications and data to Oracle Cloud in a high-performance, low latency manner for optimal user experience.

This announcement builds on previous collaborations between Equinix and Oracle to offer direct access to Oracle’s full suite of cloud services – both PaaS and SaaS solutions – in multiple markets around the globe.

Access to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure will initially be available via Oracle Cloud Network Service –FastConnect in the Equinix Washington, D.C., International Business Exchange (IBX) data center, with additional markets expected throughout the year.
