Technology major Oracle has revealed the latest wins in the healthcare and retail segment for supplying its innovative Cloud solutions.
Oracle recently announced its financial results indicating huge struggle in growing its Cloud revenue from business clients.
Healthcare
The technology company said Delta Dental of California and its enterprise affiliates have selected Oracle Cloud Applications to enhance business visibility, increase agility and reduce costs.
IDC research forecasts that healthcare providers will account for 48 percent of total spending on industry cloud in 2018—more than double the investment of any other sector.
“Oracle’s HCM cloud platform provides our human resources team with the necessary benefits, compensation and talent management data to be more responsive to our employees’ needs,” Sarah Chavarria, chief human resources officer for Delta Dental of California and its enterprise affiliates, said.
Mount Sinai Health System has also selected Oracle Cloud Applications to enhance business visibility, increase agility and reduce costs
“Working with Oracle, we will be able to manage human resource, finance and supply chain data and processes on a single, integrated platform. This will improve productivity, enable smarter decision-making,” said Donald Scanlon, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Mount Sinai Health System.
Mount Sinai Health System selected Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle SCM Cloud, and Oracle HCM Cloud to improve business visibility and reduce costs.
Delta Dental of California and its affiliates selected Oracle HCM Cloud to help maximize employee engagement and improve workforce and business agility.
University of Wisconsin Health (UW Health) has also selected Oracle Cloud Applications to enhance business visibility, increase agility and reduce costs.
“Going forward, we will manage all of our HR, supply chain, and financial data on a single integrated platform,” Elizabeth Bolt, senior vice president and chief operating officer, UW Health, said.
University of Wisconsin Health selected Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle EPM Cloud, Oracle SCM Cloud, and Oracle HCM Cloud to optimize the delivery of healthcare services and improve patient outcomes.
Oracle Cloud Applications enables healthcare organizations to rapidly leverage new artificial intelligence, blockchain, and Internet of Things capabilities.

Oracle Retail has introduced a new Oracle Retail Assortment and Item Planning Cloud Service for fashion and softline retailers.
Oracle Retail Assortment and Item Planning cloud service provides a framework of best practices for retailers while arming business analysts with advanced analytics and data science that improve the accuracy of assortment and item planning.
