Oman’s Bank Sohar has selected IBM Cloud and mobile to accelerate its digital transformation.

As mobile banking continues to gain adoption across the region, Bank Sohar embarked on an IT overhaul.

The financial institution wanted a flexible development platform for developing and managing mobile applications. As a result, the bank selected IBM MobileFirst and IBM Cloud.

The MobileFirst Platform gave Bank Sohar a single platform for all its mobile apps, while making developers’ jobs easier.

IBM conveyed that the Bank now is able to manage all versions of its apps in one location, and get insights into app usage and performance, troubleshoot problems, update and secure them from device to server.

“By choosing this platform on IBM Cloud, Bank Sohar was able to streamline its IT environment and gain flexibility in using its infrastructure to become an engine of innovation,” said Amr Refaat, General Manager, IBM Middle East and Pakistan.
