Enterprise spending on cloud infrastructure services exceeded $61 billion (+21 percent) worldwide in Q4 2022, Synergy Research Group said.
In 2022, enterprise spending on cloud infrastructure services reached $227 billion.
Microsoft saw a strong uptick in its market share which has now reached 23 percent, compared to an average 21 percent in the previous four quarters.
Cloud market leader Amazon has stayed within its long-standing market share band of 32-34 percent. Google Cloud’s share stood at 11 percent, in line with the previous quarter but a percentage point up from a year ago.
The actual Q3 market share numbers for the leading cloud providers are Amazon 33 percent, Microsoft 23 percent, Google 11 percent, Alibaba 5 percent, IBM 3 percent, Salesforce 3 percent, Tencent 2 percent and Oracle 2 percent.
Other companies who have a market share of 1 percent include Baidu, China Telecom, China Unicom, Huawei, Fujitsu, NTT, Snowflake, SAP and Rackspace.
