Infotech Lead America: Kofax, a provider of Business Process Management (BPM) solutions, announced the launch of a Business Process Management (BPM) and dynamic case management software.
Dubbed as Kofax TotalAgility, the new BPM software is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription offering hosted on Windows Azure and under a perpetual license model.
“Kofax continues to demonstrate its commitment to the Microsoft community with TotalAgility 6, the first BPM and case management platform hosted on Windows Azure,” said Kim Akers, general manager for ISV partners at Microsoft. “Working together with Microsoft, Kofax can focus on expanding its capture-enabled BPM solution to a broader range of customers,” added Akers.
TotalAgility is designed to streamline the processing of critical information in a more efficient manner, allowing users to be more responsible to their constituents. The solution also allows businesses gain competitive advantage through better service levels while also reducing costs and improving regulatory compliance.
“As enterprises adopt BPM and seek to expand processes directly to include their customers and partners, a strategy for deployment off premises via SaaS/Cloud ensures that organizations can respond to increased demand quickly and cost effectively,” said Janelle Hill, VP and analyst for BPM at Gartner.
As a cloud based offering, Kofax TotalAgility offers significant cost savings compared to on-premise deployments. With immediate availability and accessibility to the software, this deployment model benefits large organizations and government agencies that lack technical resources to support on-premise deployments.
Last year, Kofax announced that it has signed an OEM agreement with and made a $500,000 minority investment in MobiFlex, a mobile application development company.
