Insurance broker taps Cbeyond to source voice and data services with secure cloud

Insurance broker Alexander J. Wayne & Associates has tied up with Cbeyond to source voice and data services with secure cloud and end-to-end private network.

The deployment will enable the insurance broker to benefit from virtual workforce capabilities and enhanced data protection to better efficiency.

Alexander J. Wayne & Associates’ association with Cbeyond began in 2007. The first tie-up was for a combination of voice, data, website and Microsoft Hosted Exchange services.

In line with the growth, the insurance broker started looking at securing its data by moving its server offsite and implementing greater disaster recovery and prevention solutions.

“Our team reached the point in our operations where moving to the cloud made the most sense to provide additional data security and improve our overall productivity,” said Al Wayne, founder and president of Alexander J. Wayne & Associates.

“When we first started working with Cbeyond five years ago, it was the only provider who offered the combination of communications solutions we needed in one package. Now, in addition to the exceptional service and responsiveness we have enjoyed over the years, Cbeyond is again the only provider who offered the unique mix of enterprise-grade bandwidth and network security to support our needs,” Wayne added.

Cbeyond assisted the company to expand bandwidth by adding 18 additional Mbps of Metro Ethernet connectivity, along with a physical server containing additional storage, a VPN firewall and seven-day onsite recovery service.

Alexander J. Wayne & Associates’ information is now protected by Cbeyond’s data center and private network.

“While the specific technology package has evolved over the years – first with basic voice and data, and more recently with expansion to secure cloud and network – Cbeyond continues to work closely with theWayneteam to find the most suitable solution for its evolving business needs. This enables our partner to remain efficient in both its internal and customer operations,” said Chris Gatch, chief technology officer at Cbeyond.
