IBM to buy cloud services firm Agyla SAS

IBM has announced its intention to acquire Agyla SAS, a prominent cloud professional services firm based in France. This strategic move aims to strengthen IBM’s Consulting business in the country.
IBM Cloud for CIOsBy acquiring Agyla SAS, IBM will expand its portfolio of hybrid multi-cloud services and accelerate the company’s hybrid cloud and AI strategy within the region. The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

This acquisition represents IBM’s sixth in 2023 alone. Since Arvind Krishna assumed the role of CEO in April 2020, IBM has acquired over 30 companies, reinforcing its capabilities in hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence.

In addition to Agyla SAS, IBM Consulting’s previous acquisitions in the hybrid cloud space include include BoxBoat, NordcloudNeudesicSXiQ  and Taos.
