IBM SoftLayer cloud solution assists e-commerce site LookHunters to expand business

IBM, which is investing more than $2 billion in its Cloud business, said e-commerce site LookHunters has deployed SoftLayer cloud solution in order to expand its business.

LookHunters, which clocked 100 percent increase in traffic per month, has decided to migrate its content and database to SoftLayer’sInfrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to improve management and operability of its website and applications.

Since migrating, LookHunters, the first e-commerce site designed to sell clothing from independent designers with editorial content, has improved security to support online transactions and has been able to improve its users overall experience.

“The fashion industry is very dynamic and demanding and requires staying at the forefront. With this implementation, LookHunters offers buyers a simple, innovative and easy to use platform that will directly impact on customer loyalty,” said Juan Carlos Hincapie Services Manager IBM Colombia.
