HP will supply its Converged Cloud solutions to KL University to better research capability through increased IT availability, utilization of its IT infrastructure.
The Cloud deal will also focus on driving employability to KL University students with immersive learning experiences and HP Certification programs.
HP Converged Cloud Solutions include a Data Centre housing the HP CloudSystem Matrix which integrates servers, storage, networking, security and management and deliver Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for its users according to their research requirements.
KL University has also enhanced its network experience by implementing unified wired and wireless network including campus Wi-Fi with the latest 802.11ac.
“By deploying HP Converged Cloud solutions and certifications, KL University can now offer dynamic IT services and applications on demand, enabling it to respond quickly to growing student needs while reducing overall infrastructure costs and enhancing the employability of its students in today’s job market,” said LSS Reddy, pro-vice chancellor, KL University.
HP Cloud solutions will address IT demands of the research groups, faculty, scholars and students. In addition, HP will ensure a simplified network infrastructure that could host applications, anywhere, in the data center or the cloud; and that users can access anywhere, and from any device.
The HP solution, consisting of HP Software-Defined Storage; HP 3PAR Storserv 7000 and HP Data Protector is adopted to store, protect, and manage the massive data generated by the student and research groups on campus.
It deployed HP Unified network management to manage the entire network and includes HP Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solution to provide flexibility to users, allowing them to have their devices connected to the network seamlessly.
KL University has associated with HP Education Services to introduce its HP VideoBook to provide an enhanced, immersive learning experience for students by augmenting the text reading experience with online videos.
In addition, HP Accredited Technical Associate certifications on cloud computing validate real-world skills and allow students to gain credentials that prepare them for employment.
