Dell India today announced the expansion of its cloud portfolio with a new hybrid cloud solution, featuring technology jointly developed with Microsoft.
The Dell Hybrid Cloud System for Microsoft is built around the new Microsoft Cloud Platform System Standard. Michael Dell and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella highlighted about the new offering in a Dell World keynote discussion.
The Dell Hybrid Cloud System for Microsoft is the industry’s first integrated, modular hybrid cloud solution. It provides customers with on-premises private cloud, with consistent Azure public cloud access in less than three hours.
Dell said the s new system is designed to break through the hybrid cloud adoption barriers of complexity, cost and control.
“Customers adopting cloud are challenged with various complications when they switch from legacy infrastructure to a cloud based infrastructure. With Dell and Microsoft co-engineering the industry’s first hybrid cloud system using a unique payment structure, customers can move to the cloud with zero complication, worry less about their IT infrastructure and focus more on business growth,” Manish Gupta, Director, Enterprise Solutions Group, Dell India.
Additionally, Dell offered a payment solution to help customers simplify and minimize risks associated with cloud adoption. Named as Dell Cloud Flex Pay, the product is an addition to its portfolio of Scale Ready Payment Solutions.
Dell is making this payment solution available for the Dell Hybrid Cloud System for Microsoft so customers can experience the benefits of hybrid cloud without making a long-term commitment.
Dell said this cost-risk relief helps customers experience hybrid cloud usage levels before committing to the purchase.
