Coupa to supply Cloud procurement software to Sanofi

Sanofi, a healthcare vendor, has selected Coupa cloud procurement software to replace its existing on premise solutions.

Sanofi decided to transition to a cloud-based solution to streamline their spend management process, and improve user experience.

Based on optimized processes, Sanofi expects the Coupa Solution, which is likely to be implemented in 85 countries, to enable streamlined approvals flows, reduce complexity, shorten cycle times and related transaction costs.

Coupa’s application enables employees to purchase what they need to do their jobs. Users and administrators will have the benefit of the latest updated technology with Coupa. After a pilot phase, Sanofi aims at possibly using Coupa with 50,000 users.

Rob Bernshteyn, chief executive officer, Coupa

Rob Bernshteyn, chief executive officer, Coupa, said: “As a global leader in pharmaceuticals with tens of thousands of employees worldwide, Sanofi requires a solution and an approach that is focused on clear success criteria.”

The company claims that more than 350 customers use the Coupa suite of cloud applications to amplify their spend power and reduce spending costs up to 11 percent. Coupa provides a suite of true cloud applications for finance, including procurement, expense management and accounts payable that can be launched quickly for significant savings.
