Citrix Systems hires SAP veteran Mark J Ferrer

Citrix for enterprise technologyCitrix Systems has hired SAP veteran Mark J Ferrer as executive vice president and chief revenue officer – in place of Carlos Sartorius.

Mark J Ferrer, who will be reporting to CEO David Henshall at Citrix, earlier worked at SAP as chief operating officer and executive vice president of SAP Global Customer Operations — after joining business software company in 2011.

Carlos Sartorius, Citrix executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Services, will be retiring at the end of 2017.

“Mark’s experience at SAP as they transitioned to cloud-based offerings, while helping customers adopt critical cloud initiatives, will be a huge benefit to Citrix and all of our partners and customers,” Citrix CEO David Henshall said.

At SAP, Mark Ferrer was primarily responsible for global go-to-market and customer engagement. During his six-year stint at SAP, Mark Ferrer he was integral in integrating significant cloud acquisitions into SAP’s sales motion.

Mark Ferrer led sales for the largest Platinum customers as well as the global Strategic Customer Program. Mark Ferrer held various positions in a variety of areas, including solution experience, presales, sales operations, and SAP’s Global Ecosystem & Channels organization.
