Citrix posts 3% increase in revenue to $693 million

Citrix for enterprise technologyCitrix Systems has posted revenue of $693 million (+3 percent) and net income of $109 million for the second quarter of fiscal year 2017.

“Q2 demonstrated a clear acceleration in the momentum of our cloud transformation, with a strong demand for Citrix Cloud and our subscription-based solutions,” said David Henshall, president and CEO of Citrix.

Citrix said its product and license revenue fell 4 percent.

Citrix’s software as a service revenue rose 27 percent.

Citrix’s revenue from license updates and maintenance grew 6 percent.

Professional services revenue, which is comprised of consulting, product training and certification, fell 9 percent.

Citrix said its revenue increased in the Pacific region by 10 percent, increased in the EMEA region by 6 percent, and remained consistent in the Americas region.
