Buy Google Cloud platform in Indian rupees as Mumbai region goes live

Google India Cloud in MumbaiGoogle India today announced the opening of its first Google Cloud Platform region in Mumbai.

Google Cloud local partners are selling Google Cloud Platform services.

The India region offers services including Compute, Big Data, Storage and Networking. Enterprises will benefit from the high speeds, low latency and performance offered by GCP (Google Cloud Platform) services. Indian enterprise customers can buy these services directly in Indian rupees.

Google Cloud region will have three zones opening new opportunities for several new partners who will benefit from building their services on Google Cloud.

In addition to Mumbai, Google has Cloud region in Singapore, Taiwan, Sydney and Tokyo in Asia Pacific.

“The new region will help customers build applications and store their data, and improve latency for customers and end users in the area. Hosting applications in the new region can improve latency from 20-90 percent for end users in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai, compared to hosting them in the other closest region, Singapore,” said Dave Stiver, product manager, Google Cloud Platform.

Manish Verma, chief technology officer at Hungama, said the Google Cloud Platform gave the company a low latency network, better than expected SSL performance, and the ability to optimize costs further with custom machine types.

Sandeep Kalidindi, head of Technology at PaGaLGuy, said the company knows about the superiority of the Google Cloud Platform.
