CliQr announced that Baylor College of Medicine has deployed CliQr’s CloudCenter platform to deliver information as a service and manage applications in their private cloud.
Researchers of Baylor will have self service, on demand access and responsiveness, with the ability to centrally control which applications they deploy and where they deploy them.
Baylor IT is able to provide a private cloud using Cisco’s unified Computing Systems (UCS) director for physical hardware, VMware for virtual machine management and CliQr for application provisioning and management. Earlier Baylor users were going directly to the public cloud to deploy applications.
The new system will meet the governance and regulatory requirements that mandate more centralized application and data management.
In 2014, CliQr Technologies announced new feature to CloudCenter platform, resetting the standard for enterprise class hybrid cloud computing. CloudCenter is designed to provide enterprises the flexibility to select the cloud services they want without fear of vendor lock-in, helping them realize the benefits of hybrid cloud computing.
“CliQr’s application focused approach will allow us to expand across additional departments and utilize a hybrid cloud strategy deploying applications in any cloud without time-intensive recording or re-architecting,” said Alexander Izaguirre, vice president and CTO of information technology at Baylor college of Medicine.
In April 2014, CollabNet and CliQr Technologies announced an integration partnership that enables enterprise DevOps in the cloud. The integration of CliQr’s application profiles and command line interface capabilities with CollabNet’s TeamForge ALM platform simplifies and speeds the secure deployment and management of software applications for any public, private or hybrid cloud environment.
