Infotech Lead India: Demonstrating the strong demand for virtualized unified communications, Avaya has registered more than 200 percent growth quarter over quarter of Avaya Aura Virtual Environment and Avaya Customer Experience  Management Virtual Environment.

The market for virtualization is huge. Recent reports suggest 70 percent of companies are planning to virtualize their UC applications to address immediate IT needs.

Together, Avaya Aura Virtual Environment and Avaya Customer Experience Management Virtual Environment deliver a complete virtualization solution for collaboration applications and contact centers.

Avaya virtualized solutions reduce the efforts of companies seeking to reduce complexity, resource and expense requirements in their IT operations, the company said.

Avaya Collaboration Pod combines solutions from Avaya, EMC and VMware to provide a turnkey deployment model for virtualized communications within the Data Center. The solution offers virtualized storage, computing and networking products in a single pre-integrated solution with common management and support.

“The benefits of virtualization are well-understood, and Avaya is now delivering real-time communications — virtualized — without compromising quality, scalability and reliability,” said Mark Monday, vice president and general manager, Collaboration Platforms, Avaya.

“The rapid growth we’re seeing is indicative of the pent-up demand from customers looking for confidence in virtualizing their real-time communications applications,” Monday added.
