Amazon S3 reduces price by 31% in three storage classes

Amazon S3 has reduced storage prices by up to 31 percent in three S3 storage classes. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is reducing the storage price for S3 Standard-Infrequent Access and S3 One Zone-Infrequent Access by up to 31 percent in 9 AWS Regions.

These AWS regions include Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Osaka), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), US West (Northern California), and South America (Sao Paulo).

In addition, S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval (formerly S3 Glacier) is optimized for use cases such as backup and disaster recovery, by offering free bulk retrievals, and a 10 percent storage price reduction in all AWS Regions. These changes will help to further reduce your cost of S3 storage while benefiting from the simplicity, durability, and virtually unlimited scalability of Amazon S3.

All of the S3 storage price reductions will be effective December 1, 2021 and will be automatically reflected in AWS bill.

For more information on the Region specific price reductions in each S3 storage class, see the blog post, and visit the S3 pricing page.
