Alibaba firm Aliyun brings Marketplace Alliance Program

Aliyun, Alibaba Group’s cloud computing arm has launched Marketplace Alliance Program (MAP) to provide enterprises with access to Aliyun’s full suite of cloud computing services and international partners.

Aliyun can localize its cloud computing offerings by partnering with enterprises in different regions and provide localized hybrid cloud computing services to meet the regional needs of global developers.

American multinational technology company Intel, Singaporean telecommunications company Singtel, Dubai holding company Meraas Holdings, Equinix, PCCW, LINKBYNET, and Hong Kong public utility Towngas are some of the initial Aliyun’s MAP partners.

The company said Aliyun can reduce infrastructure cost, improve networking efficiency, optimize cloud solutions, pass along savings and provide hybrid cloud services to cloud consumers in internet, finance, energy, gaming, entertainment, healthcare and education by collaborating with international partners.

Additionally, Aliyun creates sophisticated networking solutions and makes big-data intelligence products and services available to small and medium sized companies.

“The new Aliyun program is designed to bring our customers the best cloud computing solutions by partnering with some of the most respected technology brands in the world,” said Sicheng (Ethan) YU, vice president, Aliyun.

Few days ago, Equinix signed an agreement with Aliyun, Alibaba Group Holding Limited to provide direct access to Aliyun’s cloud platform via the Equinix Cloud Exchange in Hong Kong and Silicon Valley.
