Ashok Jade, chief information officer (CIO) at Shalimar Paints, has joined Spark Minda, a manufacturer of automotive components, as the group chief information and technology officer (CITO).
Ashok Jade was the chief information officer at Shalimar Paints between December 2013 to February 2020.
Spark Minda is one of the leading manufacturer of automotive components and has a major presence in the global automotive industry. The $645 million Spark Minda, with a workforce of more than 17,000, has presence in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Mexico, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Japan.
Ashok Jade joined Spark Minda to drive enterprise-wide technology transformation across the group. Ashok Jade will be responsible for technology initiatives to bring business value across the group and helping achieves its objectives and ensuring that investments in IT deliver significant value to the business.
Ashok Jade, at Shalimar Paints, was responsible for delivering systems for optimization of inventory, credit management, and procurement.
Shalimar Paints deployed replenishment system and reduced inventory level by INR 50 million. e-Sourcing integrated with SAP has helped to reduce purchase cost by INR 15 million.
Shalimar Paints has deployed an integrated sales force automation and has increased the productivity of sales team.
Shalimar Paints implemented dealer management system for 5000 plus dealers across India, Nepal, Bhutan. It also implemented influencer management system for 25,000 painters across India, his LinkedIn profile says.
Ashok Jade also worked at Videocon Industries as head of IT between June 2008 and November 2013.
