Kuoni appoints Dhiren Savla as group CIO

Kuoni Group, the 109-year-old Switzerland-headquartered travel service provider, has appointed Dhiren Savla as group CIO.

Based in Dubai, he will be responsible for strengthening the company’s global IT delivery model across geographies and emerging markets.

Currently, Dhiren Savla is the chief information officer (CIO) of VFS Global and SVP and head of Global IT (Shared Service Centre) for Kuoni Group.

Savla has been with VFS Global since 2004 and has been functioning as head of Global IT (Shared Service Centre) for Kuoni Group since May 2015. He will concurrently continue in his current VFS Global role.

During 2004 to 2010, Savla worked as chief technology officer and later as CIO for Kuoni India and South Asia. Until January 2012, he also held responsibility for emerging markets for Kuoni’s travel businesses in addition to being CIO of VFS Global.

Salva has also worked with Standard & Poor’s (CRISIL) as CIO for their South Asia region where he was responsible for its KPO business IT in Europe and the Americas.

Salva is the recipient of several industry awards including the CIO 100 award (2007 – 2012), and the NASSCOM Innovation Award.
