Pratap Gharge, executive president and CIO of Bajaj Electricals, will be retiring from the organization after joining in 1985.
Bajaj Electricals is yet to name a new CIO for the company.
Pratap Gharge started his career as a programmer at Simplex Mills and after working there for two years, he moved on to Bajaj Electricals. Within the first 12 years at the company, he was able to reach the position of head IT.
Pratap Gharge, in addition to heading IT function, has been playing the role of joint project manager for the organization transformation project, which is focused on business process improvements across supply chain legs and also optimization of resources in all the business units.
Pratap Gharge is responsible for all digital transformation initiatives at Bajaj Electricals. He was instrumental for transformation projects within the organization to adopt the latest technologies and facilitate business growth, said CIO Association of India in an internal note to its members.
