Red Hat has appointed Redington India to distribute Red Hat solutions in India as part of the strategy to boost sales.
Red Hat opensource solutions include Red Hat Cloud Suite, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Ansible Automation and Red Hat JBoss Middleware.
Redington will identify and appoint regional system integrators, ISVs and cloud partners to expand and develop open source partner ecosystem in India.
Redington’s channel partners will be able to offer their customers Red Hat-supported open source technology for deploying their workloads on public, private and hybrid platforms through the container platform.
“Our business partners play an important role in educating customers and guiding them through this transformation to be a truly digital era business,” Neeraj Bhatia, director, Commercial and Partner Sales, Red Hat India and South Asia, said.
“Enterprises rely on Red Hat to deliver solutions that meet their business needs with regards to performance and security features,” R Venkatesh, executive vice president at Redington, said.
RedHat earlier said its Q4 revenue rose 23 percent to $772 million, while fiscal revenue rose 21 percent to $2.9 billion.
RedHat’s subscription revenue for the quarter was $683 million (+22 percent), accounting for 88 percent of total revenue. Subscription revenue for the fiscal was $2.6 billion (+21 percent), representing 88 percent of total revenue.
RedHat generated subscription revenue of $510 million (+17 percent) from Infrastructure-related offerings and $173 million (+39 percent) from Application Development-related and other emerging technology offerings in Q4.
