Big Switch Networks, a data center networking company, has appointed Claudio Perugini as vice president, Worldwide Channels.
Claudio Perugini has more than 30 years of channel and sales experience in the networking industry.
Most recently Claudio Perugini was EVP, Worldwide Sales at LightCyber that was acquired by Palo Alto Networks in February 2017.
Prior to LightCyber, Claudio Perugini spent nearly five years at Gigamon, as VP of Sales, Americas.
Claudio Perugini began his career as a founding member at Fluke Networks, a division of Danaher, where he spent more than 25 years.
At LightCyber, Claudio Perugini contributed to the company’s growth and resulting acquisition, evidenced by a 2.5x increase in bookings as well as a 2x increase in customer logo count. Claudio Perugini was also responsible for the build-out of LightCyber’s sales and engineering teams to support growing demand.
During his tenure at Gigamon, the company’s revenue increased from $30 million to $180 million, and under his leadership, the Americas sales team contributed more than 80 percent of total company revenue per quarter and had the highest producing region per sales person for four consecutive years.
At Gigamon, Claudio Perugini grew the Americas sales organization from a 6 person to an 85 person, multi-tier leadership team, which had a 98 percent retention rate.
