Wipro CEO Abidali Neemuchwala resigned

Wipro today announced the resignation Abidali Z Neemuchwala, chief executive officer and managing director, due to family commitments.
Wipro CEOWipro will identify the next chief executive officer. Abid will continue to hold the office of CEO and managing director till the appointment of a new CEO.

Abidali Neemuchwala said: “We have made considerable progress in our transformation journey, improved our delivery engine and institutionalised deeper client centricity.”

Wipro earlier reported IT services revenue of $2.094.8 billion, a sequential growth of 2.2 percent, for its quarter ended December 31, 2019.

Wipro’s IT Services operating margin for the third quarter was 18.4 percent, an increase of 0.3 percent quarter-on-quarter. Net income of Wipro for the December quarter dipped 2.2 percent to $344 million.

Wipro, one of the IT service providers based in India, said that it expects revenue from IT Services business of $2.095 billion to $2.137 billion for the quarter ending March 31, 2020, representing a sequential growth of 0.0 percent to 2 percent.
