The Federal Regulatory Commission offers $85 million IT contract to SRA

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) awarded SRA International the Information Technology Support Services program (ITSS) of $85 million.

The contract between FERC and SRA International includes a base year and six option years.

FERC regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas, and oil and also reviews proposals to build liquefied natural gas terminals and interstate natural gas pipelines.

Additionally, the independent agency allows hydropower projects to support their mission to provide reliable, efficient and sustainable energy for customers.

According to the contract SRA will provide a full range of IT services including program management, IT policy and administration, IT operation and maintenance, information security, systems engineering and documents and registry services.

SRA has designed a team to provide ongoing IT support for FERC’s mission-critical systems on a day-to-day basis and to ensure that innovative, cost-effective IT solutions underpin FERC’s core and evolving mission requirements.

“SRA is extremely pleased with the opportunity to provide IT services to FERC by integrating new technologies, developing innovative processes, and introducing IT solutions that will bring cost savings and increased efficiency to the Commission,” said Paul Nedzbala, Executive Vice President for SRA’s Health and Civil Group.
