Tech Mahindra announced a 5-year IT deal worth INR 270 crore to enable digital transformation for Coal India.
Coal India and its subsidiary companies will set up an integrated ERP system aimed at providing information based on real-time data and help the management in taking timely decisions to achieve results, Anil Kumar Jha, chairman of Coal India, said.
Phase one of the ERP implementation will cover Coal India and its two subsidiaries called Mahanadi Coalfields and Western Coalfields.
The deal also includes supply and implementation of HIMS across all eight subsidiaries of Coal India, covering 21 hospitals, Sujit Baksi, president, India Business & Corporate Affairs, Tech Mahindra, said.
